Gharbia Governorate Seizes 492 Subsidized Food Cards and Issues 116 Violation Reports Against Non-Compliant Bakeries

Approximately 850,000 beneficiaries have been removed from the food support program since June 2026, and a complaints portal has been opened for eligible individuals. In the Gharbia Governorate, citizens' issues were discussed with members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, and it was found that the governorate has the potential to lead in the production of natural honey and is striving for global competitiveness. Additionally, relevant authorities conducted surveys to gather citizens' opinions on the quality of service, and they discussed support and empowerment of farmers with a delegation from the Egyptian Agricultural Bank. Moreover, 13 food support violations were recorded, and meat and poultry unfit for consumption were seized. The Daqahlia Governor also directed efforts to improve bakery services and ensure adherence to the legal weight of bread.
