Taylor Swift restricts her songs on Trump's TikTok
American singer Taylor Swift has decided to ban the use of her songs in videos posted on the former U.S. president Donald Trump's TikTok accounts after Trump's management team used one of her songs in a clip without her permission. The clip showing Trump and his wife Melania watching a fireworks display was set to her song "August," and according to The National, more than 10 of Swift's songs are now unavailable for use in political accounts associated with Trump, while remaining accessible to TikTok users in their personal posts. This move is a response to the unauthorized use of her music and comes amid increasing tension between Swift and Trump over her political stance and support for Democratic candidates. She is considered one of the artists who have taken steps to protect their music rights from unauthorized use in political content.
