Iran states regional countries cannot depend on the US for security
The spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the countries of the region cannot rely on the United States to ensure security, following the signing of the Makkah Agreement for joint defense between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, which aims to strengthen collective deterrence and defense cooperation among the three nations. He explained that security cannot be purchased from intermediaries, and that plans based on facts and threats will enhance regional stability. This commentary suggests that this agreement serves as an alternative to dependence on the United States for protecting the region from military threats.
