The article covers a inspection tour by Egypt's Minister of Industry, Khaled Heshem, in the areas of Ain Sokhna and the Suez Canal, aimed at examining Egyptian fertilizer factories and the Safola Sugar Company. The tour included a review of the production capacities and the advanced technologies used at both the Egyptian Fertilizer Company (EFC) plant and the Safola Sugar factory. The visits demonstrated that Egypt possesses a strong industrial base in the fields of fertilizers and sugar, with investments amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars. The country is working to support the local market and increase exports, especially as Egypt moves toward a green economy through projects related to green hydrogen and green ammonia. The minister confirmed that Egypt was not affected by global energy crises in the fertilizer sector, which has helped maintain production continuity and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian products in international markets.
