Following the directives of President Sisi, the Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, issued several decisions to ease the burden on citizens and improve electricity bill services. Among these are reviewing the billing auditing and verification systems, confirming the operation of the complaints system, restoring the tiered billing system for multiple meters, providing emergency meters for rapid installation upon reports of faults, standardizing pricing estimates, and allowing installments for financial amounts within 72 hours, while not considering unmetered readings. These measures aim to facilitate and accelerate repair and collection processes and reduce the financial burden on citizens.
