Health Official Details Hospital Department Closures in Matrouh
The Ministry of Health in Egypt has reported that inspection teams in Marsa Matruh have closed and sealed the operating rooms and obstetrics and gynecology departments in two hospitals after detecting violations related to non-compliance with protocols and unjustified cesarean section practices. The violations included performing cesarean surgeries without medical justification and insufficient documentation of the reasons. The ministry has given the hospitals a deadline to correct these violations before taking legal action. These measures are part of efforts to ensure patient safety and prevent any practices that threaten public health security.
