On Wednesday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace during an official visit coinciding with the seventy-first anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1956. The visit included official reception ceremonies, such as the firing of 21 cannon rounds and the playing of national anthems for both nations. The visit aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Egypt and China across various fields, in addition to discussing regional and international issues. This is China's first visit to Egypt in over ten years, and President Xi Jinping is participating as part of a tour that also includes North Korea and Kyrgyzstan.
