Egypt hosted a formal reception for Chinese President Xi Jinping and the accompanying delegation, coinciding with the celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which began in 1956. The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of industry, technology transfer, and renewable energy, during which the launch of the third phase of the Egyptian-Chinese industrial zone in the Suez Canal was announced. The discussions also addressed regional developments, including de-escalation efforts in the Middle East and the Palestinian issue, with Egypt and China supporting the pursuit of peace and stability. Additionally, they examined shared security and strategic concerns and coordinated views on international challenges, culminating in the signing of several memoranda and agreements between the two parties.
