Government approves food security and digital plans
The Egyptian government has approved a series of decisions to strengthen food security and promote digital transformation. These decisions include allocating a piece of land to establish grain silos in Sohag, expanding commercial and logistical zones to enhance strategic reserves, and a plan to issue international bonds worth up to $3 billion during the 2026/2027 fiscal year to reduce external debt and diversify financing tools. Additionally, it was decided to organize an international exhibition of antiquities in Rome, showcase efforts to develop Sinai and infrastructure, healthcare, and education projects, as well as to enhance the digital transformation system and improve prosthetic training programs in accordance with international standards. The overall goal is to improve services, increase Egypt’s ability to attract investment, and enhance food security and comprehensive development.
