During a Cabinet meeting, Minister of Youth and Sports Jawhar Nabil reviewed the achievements of the Egyptian Olympic delegation at the Mediterranean Games "Taranto 2026" in Italy. Egypt secured medals in various sports such as swimming, wrestling, fencing, judo, karate, table tennis, weightlifting, and handball, despite participating with fewer athletes compared to competing countries. The minister emphasized that this exceptional performance was due to comprehensive institutional coordination among the participating entities, and that the achievement reflects Egypt’s integrated sports strategy and the success of its federations in reaching international podiums.
