Italy Seeks More Egyptian Workers
The article concerns the Italian and Egyptian efforts to enhance cooperation in the employment of Egyptian workers in Italy, through vocational, linguistic, and cultural training that meets the needs of the Italian market. The meeting between the ministers of labor from both countries discussed aims to increase the number of qualified Egyptian workers to work in Italy in a systematic and safe manner, via training programs and the signing of a memorandum of understanding to regulate the entry of Egyptians into the Italian market. Additionally, an agreement on social security was proposed to protect the rights of Egyptian workers there. It was also suggested to establish a partnership between training centers in both countries to develop curricula and exchange expertise, as part of the broader effort to combat illegal immigration and provide legal and sustainable alternatives for Egyptian youth seeking work abroad.
