Social Solidarity Minister Meets Italian Minister

The Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Maya Morsy, welcomed Italy's Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Marina Elvira Calderoni, to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the fields of empowering and integrating people with disabilities, developing the foster care system, and child protection. Morsy emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration in the area of social protection, especially under Law No. 12 of 2025 on social insurance, which has restructured support programs such as "Takaful and Karama." Currently benefiting 4.7 million families, this initiative aims to focus on economic empowerment for vulnerable groups within a strategic financial framework involving 56 government and private sector entities.
