The Secretary of the Fatwa House at the Egyptian Dar Al-Ifta confirmed that the relationship between spouses is based on partnership, affection, and mercy, not conflict or discord. He explained that good conduct in marriage includes kind treatment, gentleness, and forgiveness between spouses, and that mutual respect strengthens the stability and happiness of the family. He also called for raising children with love and mercy to maintain household cohesion and to enhance marital relationships.
