The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood intervened to protect a 6-year-old girl in Alexandria after a distress call circulated on social media showing injuries on her face. It was revealed that the girl had been living with her deceased mother since a car accident in July, and with her mother's husband, who was detained and referred for investigation. Currently, her family situation and needs are being assessed. The girl was placed in a temporary foster home to ensure her safety, after identifying her father, who resides in Cairo, and analyzing his legal situation, in order to provide her with a safe environment until legal procedures are completed.
