Security authorities in Aswan have revealed that the widely circulated video, in which a woman claims that security forces were present in front of her residence and that she was being asked to go to the police station to file a report, does not reflect the truth. The incident dates back to August 25, when a police unit from Kom Ombo Center responded to execute a court order allowing the owner of a housing unit to take possession of it due to unpaid rent. The woman recorded the video and claimed that the forces asked her to come for questioning regarding a complaint filed against her by the owner as a favor. However, the investigation showed that the matter was related to the enforcement of a legal procedure, and that the owner had filed a complaint against her for assault and insult. The necessary legal measures have been taken accordingly.
