The Egyptian Ministry of Industry aims to increase the local component content in the automotive industry from the current 20% to 40% by 2030. Achieving this goal is linked to expanding the base of supporting industries and increasing the number of local suppliers, with Egyptian factories producing components such as glass, seats, and disks. These steps are seen as indicators of investor confidence in the future of the Egyptian industry, and negotiations are currently underway with foreign investors to expand in the sector with the goal of building a comprehensive industrial ecosystem that includes incentives and government policies.
