US President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and is safeguarding its interests against Iran. He pointed out that the U.S. has destroyed nine Iranian oil tankers and hinted that more attacks on Tehran could be forthcoming. He also mentioned that the sanctions on Iran are yielding good results and predicted that the Iran conflict would end after the US midterm elections, with the possibility of resuming negotiations. Trump emphasized that inflation in Iran has reached 300% and warned that Iran obtaining nuclear weapons would pose a significant global threat, asserting that he is making greater efforts than the nuclear deal with Iran. In a different context, he indicated that the war in Ukraine might come to an end after the upcoming elections, expecting a sharp decrease in oil prices. He also discussed Palestinian political issues, clarifying that he will communicate with Israel regarding sanctions on settlements in the West Bank.
