Freight train collision in Basyat injures two

A collision occurred between two freight trains at the Bulaida station yard in the Center of El Ayat, Giza Governorate. The accident resulted in injuries to the driver and his assistant, in addition to the derailment of a locomotive and two carriages from one of the trains. The railway authority was able to move the remaining carriages and dispatched emergency teams and cranes to clear the site and restore train operations on the Cairo/High Dam line quickly. The authority apologized to passengers for the resulting delays, affirming its efforts to resume normal operation as swiftly as possible.
