Egyptian city inflation drops to 14.5%
Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics showed that the annual inflation rate for consumer prices in Egyptian cities decreased to 14.5% in August, down from 14.9% in July. However, a survey conducted by Reuters predicted that inflation would accelerate to around 15.5% in August due to negative base effects and rising electricity prices, with expectations ranging between 14.6% and 16.3%.
