U.S. President Donald Trump spoke about an attempted attack on a Fly Dubai flight heading to Israel, suggesting that the co-pilot might have been a terrorist or an unstable individual. However, he expressed some reservations about the accuracy of the account. He praised the intervention of an Israeli passenger named Yaniv Hayoun, who learned to control the aircraft by watching a TV show, and who helped land the plane safely after the co-pilot tried to crash it by stabbing the original pilot. Israeli officials focused on the plane's landing in Tabuk, where the suspect was detained, according to an Israeli report. The incident attracted political attention in Israel.
