Barcelona faces Viz-Bream in Handball final
Barcelona's team won the 2026 Handball World Cup title after their victory in the final against Hungarian club Veszprém, held at the indoor arena in the New Administrative Capital. The match, which was a repeat of last year's final, began at 9 PM and ended with a victory for Barcelona, who aimed for their seventh title after having previously won six times. They faced Veszprém, the 2024 champions, who reached the final after consecutive wins throughout the tournament. Both teams demonstrated strong performances and played at a high level, with a closely matched history in their encounters, with previous results generally favoring Barcelona. After both teams topped their groups and advanced to the final, Barcelona remains eager to defend their title and assert their dominance, while Veszprém seeks to make up for last season’s loss and reclaim the championship title.
