NKorea fires projectile into sea
The South Korean military announced that North Korea fired projectiles toward the sea, continuing a series of military tests amidst escalating tensions between the two countries. This came after landmines exploded, injuring three South Korean soldiers; Seoul considers these mines to have been planted by the North. The launch took place in the eastern waters, with the type and range of the projectile unspecified. North Korea rejected Seoul's demand for an apology over the explosions, describing the request as "pathetic," and threatened to sever relations permanently.
