Egyptian sailors arrive in Mogadishu for Cairo voyage
The Egyptian sailors have arrived in Mogadishu in preparation for their return to Cairo after being detained in Somalia. This came following directives from the Egyptian leadership and ongoing diplomatic efforts to ensure their safety and secure their release. They were welcomed with bouquets of flowers and the Egyptian flag, and arrangements were made to transport them, along with the Egyptian ambassador, to Cairo. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has emphasized its keen interest in following up on their case to ensure their safe return, while also guaranteeing their security throughout the period of detention.
