Who is VAR in Al-Ahly vs Zamalek
The article discusses the appointment of the Egyptian Football Association refereeing committee to assign a Slovenian refereeing team to oversee the Cairo derby between Zamalek and Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League. The referee leading the match is international referee Radi Oprijunovic, with Mati Yooj serving as the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). It also mentions that Mati Yooj caused a controversy in January 2020 during a Saudi Pro League match when he forgot to bring the colored cards onto the field and had to use cards provided by the assistant referee, which sparked widespread reactions on social media.
