Hossam El-Zanaty Named Zamalek Sports Director
The appointment of Hossam El Zanaty as the Sporting Director of Zamalek Club comes after the departure of John Edward before the start of the season. He was voted in by the council despite some members' reservations, including Ahmed Sulaiman. El Zanaty was presented as a candidate from the beginning based on Hussein Labeeb's nomination, and he requested to serve as the head of the football committee and committed to paying players' dues regularly, with limited communication with the board of directors for organizational reasons. His official appointment is expected to take place after the Cairo Derby against Al Ahly in the Egyptian Premier League.
