Twelve Crew Injured in Strait Attack
A Panama-flagged tanker was targeted with a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in injuries to 12 crew members who were evacuated for treatment in Oman. The crew consisted of 19 people, including 17 Indians, who were evacuated to Khasab under the care of Omani authorities. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs expressed concern over the increasing attacks on commercial vessels and sailors in the region, calling for an immediate halt to these acts and the restoration of trade movement through international waterways.
