Hossam Al-Haddad Withdraws from BBC Program
Hossam Al-Haddad, a researcher on political Islam, announced his withdrawal from the program “Nuqtat Hiwar” on BBC Arabic, expressing his strong protest against the program’s management controlling the discussion and accusing them of bias and neglecting standards of journalistic balance and objectivity. He pointed out that during his participation via Zoom, his speech was cut off and interrupted without justification, especially when he supported the Egyptian state's stance, which led to his immediate withdrawal. He emphasized that media freedom requires respecting all opinions and maintaining professional independence.
