Sisi greeted with gunfire at Indonesia Palace
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived at the Indonesian presidential palace in Jakarta for a meeting with the Indonesian President. He was officially received with a welcoming ceremony, during which 21 gunshots were fired in greeting, and a large crowd gathered enthusiastically to welcome the visit. The visit was part of an Asian tour aimed at strengthening relations, accompanied by official receptions and the presence of Egyptian and Indonesian diplomatic figures. Sisi's emphasis on the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state and his rejection of the displacement of Palestinians came during his visit to Malaysia prior to Indonesia.
