Axios on Zelensky: Trump’s ceasefire news
Axios reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that President Donald Trump's announcement of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine in the energy sector was new to him. Zelensky confirmed that if Russia agrees to a ceasefire in the energy sector, Ukraine will also agree, and he added that he is ready to accept any pause related to energy if it begins. This came after Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to a ceasefire in this sector, amid Trump’s criticisms of Zelensky over attacks on Russian oil refineries, following a temporary lifting of U.S. sanctions on Russian fuel.
