Expert assesses Zizo's offside claim
A former international referee confirmed the validity of Al-Ahly's goal against Zamalek in Sunday's match, scored by Mohamed Hany in the 39th minute from a powerful shot outside the penalty area that deflected off a defender and changed its direction. According to the referee, there was no offside for Ahmed Zizo, and the goal was legitimate, as his position did not affect the goalkeeper's view or the flow of play. The match was held at Cairo Stadium as part of the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League, emphasizing the importance of the goal in Al-Ahly’s lead over Zamalek.
