The Ipihyah Isna Historic Project in Luxor Governorate, winner of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2025, has been implemented with the aim of preserving heritage and revitalizing the local economy. The newly released documentary highlights efforts in restoration and city development through the renovation of historic buildings, enhancement of the urban landscape, and the improvement of streets and commercial areas, while integrating economic activities linked to tourism and traditional crafts. The project emphasizes community participation, especially involving women and artisans, in developmental processes. It showcases tangible results by providing over 100,000 work-days and implementing investments exceeding $1.2 million, thereby boosting opportunities for small businesses and strengthening the connection between heritage, cultural identity, and sustainable economic development.
