Riham's 13-year marriage ends in her murder
Reham was murdered by her husband, Sayed, in Alexandria in 2024. He lured her into the bedroom, strangled her, and then stabbed her with a knife until she died. Their relationship began in 2011 after their engagement, despite her family's disapproval of his job as a taxi driver. She continued the marriage despite numerous problems and conflicts that escalated into physical abuse and threats. A few days before the crime, Sayed assaulted her, causing a brain hemorrhage. The next day, he lured her into the bedroom and killed her after suspecting her behavior. He informed the property owner before surrendering himself to the police. The court sentenced him to death based on investigation evidence and a psychological report, within the context of repeated family disputes and violence between the spouses.
