Medhat Shalaby retracts and Apologizes
Sports journalist Medhat Shalaby issued a formal apology to Mahmoud El Khatib, the president of Al Ahly Club, regarding the comments he made in September about the reasons for his absence from traveling with the team to America to participate in the Club World Cup. Shalaby clarified that his statements were not intended to cast doubt on Khatib's health condition and that the information he received about the visa crisis was incorrect. He expressed regret for any inaccuracies in his previous statements. Shalaby emphasized that Khatib holds a significant place in the history of Egyptian football and hoped that Khatib would accept his apology.
