Al-Zira'a Completes 60% of Rice Harvest and Recycles Straw to Fight Black Cloud
The Ministry of Agriculture revealed that 60% of the rice harvest has been completed in the Delta and Lower Egypt governorates, resulting in approximately 610,000 tons of rice straw. The recycling system has been utilized, including baling 495,000 tons, shredding 286,000 tons, and storing 441,000 tons, to produce 1,943 tons of animal feed and organic fertilizers. This initiative aims to reduce straw burning and transform it into an economic project that contributes to environmental protection and provides employment opportunities for farmers.
