Jasparini cites passive defending after Madrid loss
Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini focused on his team's problem of conceding goals from set pieces, following their 4-3 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League, after Real Madrid scored three goals from corner kicks in the final minutes. He pointed out that the team was passive in dealing with dead-ball situations, which gave the Royal Team an opportunity to come back in the match. Regarding the game, Roma took a three-goal lead, while Real Madrid scored three goals from set pieces. The coach also confirmed that injuries to some players and a limited number of options were behind the substitutions he made during the match.
