Funeral of Five Family Members at Hadaiq al-Quba
Five members of one family and their neighbors lost their lives in a building collapse in the Hadaeq El Qubb area of Cairo. The incident occurred on Tuesday and was marked by the funeral prayers held at the Al-Rahman Al-Rahim Mosque amid scenes of intense grief and sorrow for their families, as moments of farewell turned into a state of collapse and tears. Immediately after the collapse, rescue and ambulance teams moved to handle the situation, and a security cordon was established around the area. The Public Prosecution began investigating to determine the causes of the incident, revealing that the building was experiencing cracks and fractures, and that it had previously been issued a decision for renovation and demolition that was not carried out before the collapse.
