Salah captains Trabzonspor in Europa League

Mohamed Salah, star of Trabzonspor, received the captain's armband for the first time during the match against Finnish side KuPS in the opening round of the Europa Conference League. This was due to the absence of the first captain, Stefan Savić, because of injury. Salah played in the forward line alongside Paul Onuachu and Aral Şimşir, and his leadership marked an important beginning to the team's continental journey after signing on a free transfer from Liverpool. This match represents a significant milestone in Salah's career with the Turkish club, as the team started its campaign with an important encounter in the first qualifying round.
