Cabinet clarifies 8-hour daily power cuts

The Media Center of the Council of Ministers has categorically denied any official statements regarding the reduction of power load-shedding for a duration of 6 to 8 hours daily, clarifying that such statements are fragmented and inaccurate. Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly explained that there are various scenarios to address the rising energy prices, including passing the full costs onto citizens, having the government bear them, or maintaining current allocations and purchasing petroleum products within available resources. However, no official decision has been made to reduce power load-shedding. It is worth noting that the last scenario could lead to load-shedding lasting between 6 to 8 hours daily if necessary.
