Iran Talks Mixed Outlook
U.S. President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran to end the war were going well, but described Tehran as “not entirely trustworthy,” adding that the United States had destroyed much of its military and nuclear capabilities. He pointed to “Mount Axe” in Isfahan province as one of the sites Washington was still dealing with, while Iran denies that any nuclear activity is taking place there. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump had not made up his mind about launching further strikes and that Washington was open to a diplomatic solution. Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned of further attacks and vowed to retaliate.
