Sisi Seeks High Standards
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi directed that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s projects be completed swiftly and upgraded to the highest standards. The directive came during a meeting reviewing the implementation status of projects involving national and technological universities and research centers. The projects included the new university in the New Administrative Capital, Galala Teaching Hospital, with a capacity of 577 beds, and the new National Cancer Institute in Sheikh Zayed, known as the “500500 Hospital,” with a capacity of 340 beds. Sisi stressed the importance of bringing in an international operator to ensure the hospital is run efficiently, expanding capacity at university hospitals, and opening more of them to improve healthcare services.
