MP Sahar Sedky said that the sixth edition of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, to be held at the end of November, reflects Egypt’s role in supporting peace and development in Africa, in line with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s vision. She stressed that addressing conflicts requires not only political and security solutions, but also reconstruction and support for the economy, institutions, and employment opportunities. She highlighted the importance of coordinating African and international efforts to prevent affected countries from sliding back into instability. She called for turning the forum’s recommendations into practical action, including rebuilding infrastructure, supporting productive sectors, empowering young people and women, and investing in education and health.
