Festival Named for Ashraf
The Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth has named its 12th edition in honor of actor Ashraf Abdel Baky, recognizing his career and contributions to theatre. Abdel Baky said he was delighted by the honor, noting that his theatrical career spans nearly 40 years, during which he has presented around 382 performances. He expressed regret over the closure of several private theatres and called for them to become active again, recalling that the summer season once featured around 36 stage productions.
