Cobra in Fayoum school
The head of the Central Administration for Nature Reserves at the Ministry of Environment said that a cobra appearing inside a school in Fayoum was unusual behavior and did not prove that it had escaped from someone who kept it; determining its source would require examining the circumstances of the incident. Its presence could be linked to natural factors such as the availability of food, water, and shelter, or it may have moved because of the heat in search of better conditions. The possibility that it had escaped from a hobbyist could not be ruled out. He warned people not to approach or try to catch it, and urged them to contact Civil Protection or the relevant authorities immediately.
