Artist Ashraf Abdel Baky said that some employees receive incentives without doing any work, wasting state funds. He noted that decision-making in the public sector is hampered by complicated, exhausting procedures. He made the remarks during a masterclass on the mechanics of comedy at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Theatre Festival for Youth, where he praised diligent employees who look for solutions—including seeking sponsors to overcome funding challenges. The festival’s 11th edition runs from November 1 to 5.
