The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it had received a report that a vessel was struck by an unidentified projectile 9 nautical miles northeast of the Lima area, off the coast of Oman, leaving a hole in its starboard side. No crew members were injured and no environmental damage was reported. The agency urged vessels transiting the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity, without specifying the type of projectile or who was responsible.
