Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that messages continue to be exchanged between Tehran and Washington through intermediaries, with no new developments or progress in negotiations, as Qatar and Pakistan continue efforts to revive them. A source told the agency that Iran would take no further steps unless the United States met its seven conditions, foremost among them ending the war, releasing frozen funds, and lifting the naval blockade. The source added that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iranian military control, while implementation of the memorandum of understanding on freedom of navigation, signed by Washington and Tehran in June, has stalled because of disagreements over the strait’s security.
