Al Ahly coach Hussein Ammouta said after his side’s 1–0 win over Arab Contractors in the League Cup that a star is a player who is committed in training and in his personal life, and who gives his best in matches. He stressed that the team must not take any game lightly, even friendlies, and must show discipline and a positive spirit. Al Ahly lead their group with six points after a 5–0 win over Assiut Petroleum, followed by a victory over Arab Contractors thanks to Ashraf Ben Sharqi’s goal in the 93rd minute.
