Dredging disrupts water supply
The Qalyubia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company announced that Water Stations 1 and 2, which supply the villages of Abu al-Gheit and al-Kharqaniya in Qanater al-Khairiya, have been taken out of service because of dredging work at their Nile River intakes. Water service will remain interrupted until the work is completed and the stations are back in operation. The company has provided tankers carrying safe drinking water. They can be requested by calling the 125 hotline from a landline or 01200288880 from a mobile phone.
