Tamiya Player Dropped
The board of Tamiya Youth Center in Fayoum decided to permanently remove player Moatasem Mohamed Ali Abdullah from its records and suspend his financial entitlements after he posted a TikTok video placing an Israeli flag symbol over a photo of the referee in the team’s match against Al-Saha Al-Shaabiya. The center also contacted the Egyptian Football Association and the Fayoum regional association to request that he be removed from their records. The player said he had acted because he felt his team had been treated unfairly. He added that he had deleted the video and apologized to the referee, and asked the center to reconsider and reduce the punishment.
