A player for Tamia Youth Center, Moatasem Maabda, posted a video on TikTok objecting to the referee’s decisions in his team’s match against Al-Saha Al-Shaabeya Club. He placed an Israeli flag over the referee’s photo. After the match, the center’s board of directors decided to expel him permanently and suspend his financial entitlements. It also contacted the Egyptian Football Association and the Fayoum regional association to initiate steps to remove him from the federation’s records and consider legal action.
